SOLIDitech was honoured to be invited by the University of Cape Town (UCT) Development Society (Devsoc) to present at their #breaktherules event on Saturday 06 April 2019. We may be a bit biased, but we totally kicked ass! #breaktherules is…
We joined forces with the NMU Computing Sciences Department for this Season’s YAWiC Coding Camp. We were thrilled to be invited again in sponsorship for this wonderful and much needed initiative, which assists these young women in carving out their future careers.
We’re more than a few job titles – We’re from all over the place, believe in all sorts of things and enjoy working together. So it makes sense that we love being active together too. SOLIDitech provides ample opportunity for its staff to be active and healthy, including a number of sports and activities, check it out and see what is available.
In the Summer 2018-2019 University holiday period, we welcomed 6 Interns to the SOLIDitech Team. Each Intern had the opportunity to work side-by-side with real Software Engineers, assisting our customers and committing real code.
We believe that our industry is built on the skills and innovations of our workforces. To this end, we partnered with Code4CT, a Cape Town-based charity, this Festive Season to ‘introduce 100 Girls to Code’.
Got 5’s Futbol Skills? That’s okay, neither do we ;). But we’re going to embrace the spirit anyway – all the in the interests of having a good time. Organised by a fellow staff member, we’re excited to be supporting the SOLID Fives Futbol Tournaments.
For our third quarterly team building event our teams ventured out of the office and into the sunshine. Our Johannesburg Team visited the Cradle of Humankind Heritage site while our Cape Town Team chased after clues in the Great SOLID Scavenger Hunt of 2018
As the weather gets warmer and the braai grids and flip-flops come out – We South Africans get excited and gear up for Heritage Day. Heritage Day is often unofficially referred to as ‘National Braai Day’, so we wanted to give our customers the opportunity to have the yummiest Heritage Day around (how does a R2,500 Woolworths Voucher sound?).
SOLIDitech has once again joined the Nelson Mandela University Computing Sciences Department as a sponsorship of their 2018 Young African Women in Computing (YAWiC) Winter Coding Camp.
Once again, SOLIDitech is very excited to be hosting a stand at the UCT Careers Festival. There will be freebies, multiple competitions and real life Software Engineers that you can come ask questions and chat to – don’t be shy, come say hi!
